Tribute to Mum Dieffenthaller
A Prayer for a Lady, Friend & Mother
“O Lord, support us all the day long of this
troublous life, until the shadows lengthen and the evening
comes, the busy world is hushed, the fever of life is
over, and our work is done. Then Lord, in thy mercy,
grant us safe lodging, and holy rest and peace at the
last, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”
- John Henry Newman
“May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”
- William Shakespeare
I love you, Mum. It saddens me to know that I will
never see you again - in this life at least. I am very
sorry I did not have the presence of mind to comprehend
the situation. This was uncaring of me,
please forgive me. You must know that I truly
loved, admired and cared for you.
Rest in God’s Peace Mum,
Your most affectionate,
Benita

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
